What checkout collects
We collect your name, phone number, email address, vehicle information, requested collection details and order items to manage your order. Registration and billing address fields are optional for store collection.
How we use it
Rhino uses these details to check fitment, contact you about availability and pricing, arrange collection and keep order records. Authorised staff access these business records through a protected staff area. We use our website hosting and database provider to store and operate the website.
Receptionist enquiries
Our website receptionist can answer common questions and help you request a callback or quote. If you submit its enquiry form, we collect your name, the phone number or email address you provide, optional vehicle and tyre details, your enquiry, callback preference and permission to contact you. Authorised Rhino staff review these details in our protected follow-up tracker. A received enquiry does not confirm stock, fitment or an appointment.
A short-lived receptionist session cookie helps prevent repeated submissions. We use protected, hashed session and network identifiers to limit abuse; these controls are separate from your cart session. The receptionist does not save conversation or form drafts in local browser storage.
Optional AI replies
When the receptionist is in guided mode, its answers come from Rhino's published information. If AI replies are enabled, the interface identifies itself as an AI assistant. Your chat message and recent conversation are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply using public Rhino business information. We do not send staff purchase prices, private stock quantities or internal staff records to that service. Please avoid entering payment card details, passwords or other sensitive information in chat. Read OpenAI's privacy policy for details of its processing. Callback requests use the separate enquiry form and your contact permission.
Payment information
Pay-in-store checkout does not collect card numbers, expiry dates or security codes. When online payment is available and you select it, Stripe processes payment on its secure payment page. We share the order reference, purchased items, amount and contact information needed to process and verify your payment and help prevent fraud. You enter card details directly with Stripe; Rhino’s website does not collect or store your full card number or security code. We keep payment references and payment status against your order. Optional Rhino updates
The subscription checkbox is optional and starts unchecked. If you select it, we record your request to receive Rhino offers and updates. You can ask to stop these messages by contacting us. Placing an order does not require subscribing.
Cart & checkout storage
Your browser keeps product IDs and quantities so that your cart works across pages. A checkout session cookie lets you view your own order acknowledgement. Optional registration details are kept only for the current browser tab until submission. Clearing the cart removes its saved product list.
Store location map
Our homepage includes an embedded Google Maps map. When it loads, Google receives information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies according to your Google and browser settings. You can read Google’s privacy policy for details.
