Alignment and balancing do different jobs.
Wheel alignment concerns the angles of the wheels relative to the vehicle. Wheel balancing deals with weight distribution around the wheel and tyre assembly. The right next step depends on what you are noticing, so describe the symptoms when you contact us.
An alignment check can help identify settings that may contribute to uneven tyre wear or a vehicle that does not track as expected. Worn or damaged steering and suspension parts may also need attention; an adjustment alone does not resolve every issue.
When is an alignment check worth discussing?
- Your tyres show uneven wear across the tread.
- The steering wheel sits off centre while travelling straight.
- The vehicle pulls to one side, or you have noticed a change after a pothole or impact.
- You are fitting a new set of tyres or changing wheels or suspension.
These are reasons to arrange an inspection, rather than a diagnosis. Tell the team when the issue started and whether any tyres, wheels or suspension parts have recently changed.
Purchase 4 or more tyres from Rhino and a free wheel alignment is included. Car and 4x4 tyre purchases also include free fitting and balancing. Disposal is charged separately: $3.50 standard or $5.50 4x4 per tyre.

Is alignment the same as balancing?
No. Alignment concerns the wheel angles; balancing concerns the weight distribution of the rotating wheel and tyre. Tell us whether you are noticing uneven wear, pulling, vibration or another change.
Can I get an alignment with new tyres?
Yes. Rhino includes a free wheel alignment when you purchase 4 or more tyres. The team will confirm your fitting and workshop arrangements.

Will alignment fix every steering problem?
No. Tyre condition, pressure, worn parts and other issues can affect the way a vehicle drives. An inspection helps determine the appropriate work.
